Welcome to my New Blog

Welcome to our New blog.

My name is Pete Rogers, and I am President and CEO of TLC Health Services. TLC Health Services is a family owned and operated business, and has been since its inception. We are located in Greer, South Carolina having relocated here in 2005 from western North Carolina. Greer is one of the fastest growing areas in the south and we saw a need for our industry to be located in this area. Since relocating here we initiated a web store to reach the world with our products and our efficient customer service.

TLC as we are most commonly referred, has a mission of "Caring for the Caregivers" it is far more than a mission it is our driving force. For years we worked in nursing homes and assisted living facilities and with individuals at home and saw that the caregivers, (those tasked with providing primary care for individuals dependent upon them) whether professional or a loved one was often overwhelmed with their responsibility. We saw that too much valuable time was being spent on ordering equipment, maintaining equipment and discovering what they really needed to take care of their patient or loved one. We are seeking to take that stress away from the caregiver.

By focusing on the caregiver, we strive to take the burden of the equipment or products away from the caregiver so they can focus on their patient or loved one. With the aging of America, we know more and more people will be tasked with caring for their spouse or parents. Very often these left with this task have no idea what is available within the health care field that can make their loved one's quality of life and their task of care giving easier and better. We have over 750,000 items we carry that are designed for enhancing and assisting the quality of life for people. By representing the finest brands in the industry, we are able to offer to you the best equipment at fair and reasonable prices with excellent customer service.

More than this however, is our desire to provide care for the caregivers. We have telephone calls and emails everyday asking us questions such as: Which is the best walker for me? What is the difference in this wheelchair and that one? Do I need an electric scooter or electric wheelchair? What is the difference between the two? Can I assemble or install this by myself? What if my loved one has had a stroke, what items are there to assist them?

The list goes on and on. In this blog, in addition to these items, we will offer suggestions on how to answer these questions. Often your doctor is the best area of reference, and we cannot offer medical advice. But when your doctor says; "you need to get your mother a rolling walker" you may or may not know what that means, and when you look on our website or others you will see many different brands and configurations, which one is the best for your need? How do you decide? We want to assist in these areas.

This blog will be used to fill in some of the gaps some of our shoppers may have in trying to find what they need in the medical equipment field. We have learned in our 18+ years that there are more items out there than people realize that can improve their quality of living.
